In our setting we maintain the ratio of adults to children in the setting that is set through the Welfare Requirements. We can have a maximum of 18 children per session. The ratio of adults to children for three year olds is 1 : 6. The ratio of adults to children for 2 year olds is 1 : 4.   At each session at least one member of staff is qualified to at least NVQ level 3 and a First Aider is always present. We also have volunteer parent helpers and work experience students where possible to complement these ratios. This helps us to: 

§         give time and attention to each child;

§         talk with the children about their interests and activities;

§         help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide; and

§         allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety.
